2) Use this feedback and your own feelings regarding your presentation to self-assess and write a detailed WWW and EBI for your own research and presentation as a whole.
- i think that i did have a good intro and that i gave a basic outline of the film and the inspirations that are relevant to my film and topic. I feel like despite the fact that I knew what slides where going to come up what to talk about I could have practiced more on what I was going to say and how I was going to say it. Speaking clearly and loudly for everyone to hear has always been an issue that I needed to sort out so maybe if I had faced the audiences more I would've been able to project my voice a lot more. A lot more could've been said about the genre specifically and how that fits into the whole theme of my critical investigation and especially focusing on the values and ideologies.
3) Write a paragraph discussing how your presentation will lead into your critical investigation. Some of this may refer to your feedback (a greater focus on media debates, for example) or in rare cases you may want to change the focus of your investigation entirely.
- My presentation will lead into my critical investigation by focusing on the additional points that I could add to the research part of my investigation. Since I didn't go into points like patriarchy in the sense that I am focusing on gender representations in the film which also leads to the fact that in the film there are some political issues that are brought up. Also since the film subverts gender stereotypes by mainly having a female protagonist I could definitely include some feminist theory to support my points and also go into Jennifer Lawrence as a star as she presents herself as a quite outspoken person. This could be developed into how she is portrayed outside of the film and maybe even add onto why she was fit for the role. In terms of audience analysis, within my research i found an article that goes into that in a bit more detail. I realised that i hadn't considered the effects that it would have on the audience and how gender stereotypes are also subverted in that context which i found to be very useful to add to my investigation
